Chih En Chen

Consulting Specialist

Chih En Chen leads Waddington’s Asian Art Department following his diverse experience in Asian art and antiques in both Asia and Canada. Mr. Chen’s experience in Asia includes his role as Associate Project Executive with acclaimed art dealer Blue Dragon Art, and contributing member of one of Taiwan’s most important collector associations: the Chinese Culture and Fine Art Association. In Taiwan Mr. Chen was also responsible for curating several major exhibitions, such as Art Taipei (2010-2011) as well as at the Taiwan Pavilion in Venice Biennale, and exhibitions in the National Palace Museum. Mr. Chen is fluent in traditional and simplified Chinese (Mandarin and Taiwanese), Classical Chinese, and English. He achieved his Masters in Art History from the University of Toronto and interned with Christie’s Canada prior to joining Waddington’s in 2014.

Austin Yuen

Department Head

Austin Yuen obtained his Masters of Art History from the University of Toronto. His studies have led him to extensive research on Medieval art in China with the Getty Foundation funded Connecting Art Histories initiative, in conjunction with the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, which culminated in a study trip to the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang. Austin joined Waddington’s full-time after completing his studies and working with Waddington’s as a consultant since 2011. Austin is proficient in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
